Moselle : Development of tourist accommodation on the NAUTIC HAM nautical base (glamping and house-boats)

The NAUTIC’HAM leisure centre welcomes hikers, boaters, cyclists and campers.

It is located:
at the gates of the Luxembourg and German borders,
close to two ZACs located in the commune of Basse-Ham.
in a green setting: it seduces with its tranquility, its state-of-the-art infrastructure and the diversity of its services.
along the V50 cycle route “la voie bleue” linking Thionville to Luxembourg: a must-see for cyclists.

Launched in 2015, the nautical base has continued to develop and has seen a marked increase in visitors in recent years (25,000 visitors in 2023 compared to 17,000 in 2022). More than 15 events and a dozen concerts are organised throughout the summer period.

GLAMPING

Nautic’Ham would like to expand its range of accommodation on the campsite by offering quality homes, to further satisfy visitors and cyclists using the cycle route that passes through the site. These accommodations should be demountable and in keeping with the “nature” spirit of the campsite (glamping, ready-to-camp, cabins, etc.).

Average length of stay in 2023: 3 nights (45% occupancy rate).

Campsite: 76 pitches on 2 hectares, sanitary facilities and showers, open from 01/05 to 30/09.

UNUSUAL ACCOMMODATION ON THE WATER

The Nautic’Ham marina has 100 mooring rings for boats, with rental possible by the season or the year. The manager wishes to make several pontoons available for installing unusual accommodation on the water (house-boats), to expand its tourist accommodation offer and provide a unique experience in the region.
