The IoT Academy, a new center in Troyes to accelerate industrial transformation

l’UIMM Champagne-Ardenne‘s training center in Troyes has reached a new milestone with the inauguration of the ‘IoT Academy, specializing in the Internet of Things (IoT), its control, maintenance and management.

With its new 800 m² workshops in Troyes and the creation of the IoT Academy, the UIMM is expanding its range of support services in the field of digital transition for industry.

The IoT Academy will offer companies a comprehensive range of consulting and skills development services in this field. It will advise companies, train technicians and test projects in the IoT Lab. Connected objects are playing an increasingly central role in business performance, particularly in the areas of building and process energy consumption.

… complementing other technology platforms in Eastern France 

The IoT Academy completes and expands the training offer in the Grand Est region. It focuses on technology, digital technology and management, with specializations at each site. It meets the needs of UIMM member companies throughout the Grand Est region.

In Reims, the Robotic Academy has a 25,000 m² facility to support companies in integrating digital technologies into production methods to boost competitiveness.

The Lean Academy, also in Reims, is a factory-school for operational excellence, focused on continuous improvement.

The Additive Academy in Charleville-Mézières is the result of a partnership with Platinium 3D, France’s largest additive manufacturing platform. It offers companies support in the development of this technology within their manufacturing processes.

Finally, in Saint-Dizier, a complete solution to companies’ industrial maintenance needs has been created with the Maintenance Academy. It is also home to the Maintenance Lab, a local tool for the transformation to Industry 5.0.
